Volunteering Opportunities:

Citizens Advice IW

Our highly trained volunteers come from all backgrounds and help with everything we do. We couldn't provide our free service without them.

People who volunteer with us come from all walks of life: Retired volunteers believe it keeps them mentally active and nine in ten unemployed volunteers say it helps them move into employment or education. You can read some of the stories about this here

We provide support and full training for our volunteers and pay their expenses.

Advice First Aiders

People need advice on multiple issues at different times of their lives, but don’t always need the in-depth advice provided by a Citizens Advice General Adviser. You will be a well-established member of your local community who will be able to signpost people to trusted sources of information, whilst maintaining the aims and values of Citizens Advice.

You will be supported by the General Advice team, with access to our own local web-based Community Directory and Information portal. If you are interested in making a difference in the local community please complete a volunteer application form or email simonb@iwcab.org.uk

IW Volunteer Centre

Visit the IW Volunteer Centre website and search for volunteering opportunities on the Isle of Wight including arts & heritage, mental health, environment & disability.

They promote hundreds of opportunities across the Isle of Wight on behalf of charities, statutory organisations and community groups.

To look for their current opportunities please search the IOW Volunteer Centre database.

Before doing a search it is worth taking some time to think about the kind of roles you might prefer, the type of organisation that might interest you and how much time you can offer.
